As I watched the sun set earlier this evening, I finally had a spare moment to process everything that had happened over the past few days
I am finally here. Like really here.
It's humid and hot, the mosquitoes are unforgiving, and the various critters have no regard for personal space.
But this place is breathtaking. The food is savory and fragrant, the people are warm and welcoming, and the landscape is heavenly.
This is Myanmar. This is home.
How lucky I am to be in such a magnificent place.
I am currently in Bago for 10 weeks of intensive training. Once competency is reached and demonstrated, I will hopefully have the honor of swearing in as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
This is such a challenging, yet rewarding time.
